Dunkin’ is making its mark in Malaysia with the recent opening of its 100th location. The new 1,800-square-metre Dunkin’ at Kota Kinabalu International Airport in Sabah is also the largest in Malaysia, boasting a seating capacity of up to 88 guests. Golden Donuts, the master franchisee for Dunkin’ in Malaysia since 1987, operates this location.
According to Inspire‘s President and Managing Director of International Michael Haley, Dunkin’ is thrilled to have achieved this milestone in Malaysia and looks forward to continued growth in the region. The expansion comes amid growing demand for coffee in Malaysia, with Dunkin’s beverage-led menu featuring its iconic donuts and innovative offerings like the new Iced Salted Caramel Latte.
Peter Yu, Managing Director of Golden Donuts, believes the opening of the new Dunkin’ location highlights a warm and welcoming café-style approach that focuses on Dunkin’s coffee culture. The brand is famous globally for its high-quality coffee, donuts, and baked goods. It serves over 2 billion cups of coffee and 2 billion donuts, and MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats annually.
With Dunkin’s rapid expansion in Malaysia, the brand is the perfect place for Malaysian guests to share moments with family and friends. Dunkin’ is known for its pairing of high-quality coffee, donuts, and baked goods, and it is making a name for itself in Malaysia as the go-to spot for coffee lovers.
The success of Dunkin’ in Malaysia can be attributed to Golden Donuts’ continuous efforts to provide Dunkin’ fans with innovative offerings and exceptional customer service. The master franchisee has been working on expanding Dunkin’s presence in Malaysia since 1987 and has been instrumental in making the brand a household name in the country.
Dunkin’ Donuts is a global donut and coffee chain founded in 1950 in Quincy, Massachusetts, USA. It has since grown into a multinational franchise with over 12,000 locations in 36 countries. Dunkin’ Donuts’ menu features donuts, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and a variety of coffee beverages.
In 2018, the company dropped “Donuts” from its name to become simply “Dunkin’” as part of a rebranding effort to focus more on coffee and other beverages.
