Potato Corner has entered the Taiwan market with the opening of its first store at the Uni-President Department Store in Taipei’s Xinyi District.
The flavoured fries chain, owned by Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures (Spavi), has partnered with Fujin Tree Group, a Taiwan-based lifestyle and F&B operator.
Spavi president and CEO Vicente Gregorio said the launch aligned with the brand’s goal of expanding its international footprint.
“With the strong support of our partner Fujin Tree, we look forward to strengthening and scaling our presence in Taiwan,” he said.
Fujin Tree Group founder Jay Wu confirmed that additional stores are planned before the end of the year.
Since being acquired by Spavi in 2022, Potato Corner has grown to 2345 outlets worldwide, with Taiwan becoming its 16th international market.
“It’s always a proud moment to bring our beloved brand to new international shores,” Gregorio added.
“Potato Corner’s debut in Taipei is a milestone not just for our flavoured fries, but for our group’s vision of wow-ing more guests around the world.”
