Big Bath aims to open 86 stores

Kuala Lumpur, 15th December 2020,

Local bathroom and kitchen solutions retailer Big Bath Sdn Bhd aims to ramp up store expansion in the next three years.

Founder and director Shane Mun said the demand for bathroom and kitchen products has surged between September and October 2020 despite the impact of Covid-19 and the reimplementation of conditional movement control order (CMCO).

Mun said this allowed the company to forge ahead with its franchise chain and expansion plan in an unprecedented time.

“Depending on the location, it requires a capital of RM800,000 to open a Big Bath franchise store,” he said.

He believes the store expansion plan will in turn provide better services to its customers across the country.

Big Bath currently has eight other outlets in Malaysia including four in the Klang Valley and one in Perak, Penang, Johor and Sabah.

“The company has also started to set goals for the coming decade.

“Big Bath also aims to be listed on Bursa Malaysia’s Main Market in the year 2027,” he said.

Big Bath has opened its 9th physical store this December in SS2 Petaling Jaya, signaling a market expansion streak amidst industry-wide scale back and closings.

The 4,000 square feet showroom was unveiled to the public through a livestream on its Facebook page with a virtual ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by key investors.

In line with its “Experience First, Buy Later” concept which allows customers to experience the products before making a purchase, Big Bath’s new PJ store is the first to feature live demonstration stations for customers to see, touch and feel products from sanitary wares to water taps, from shower screens to bathtubs.

Despite the growing popularity of online shopping, Big Bath believes that brick-and-mortar stores remain essential in elevating customers’ shopping experience.

“To enable customers to enjoy high-quality and luxurious bathroom and kitchen products at a reasonable price, Big Bath has introduced the Honest Price Plan where the company constantly monitors and conducts research for the best price in the market,” it said.

Big Bath has been in the retail sector for a decade now while its parent company Leonfast Sdn Bhd has over 40-year experience in providing bathroom and kitchen solutions.

The company boasts a wide range of sanitary and kitchen products with 95 per cent of them being in-house brands, including TORA, MOOV, LeCelebrity and Faurex.

Big Bath is also the main distributor of Hansgrohe, a well- known sanitary ware brand from Germany with over 100 years of history.

Big Bath is the first bathroom and kitchen supply store in Malaysia with its own franchise.

Recognised for its quality control and assurance, one-to-one consulting services and customer- first brand value, Big Bath has been hailed a leading Malaysian brand in bathroom and kitchen supplies and it aims to be the number one affordable luxury bathroom and kitchen specialist in Malaysia.
